How can Reiki help me?
Martin has practised and taught Reiki healing for over 20 years.
Reiki Master/ Teacher registered with the UK Reiki Federation ( UKRF ).
Karuna Reiki Master/ Teacher.
Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist channels energy to the patient by means of touch or transmitted just off the body to activate our natural healing processes so as to restore physical and emotional well being.
Reiki energy can also be sent from any distance in the world.
It has been used with good effect throughout the world to energise people for their daily lives and to bring health benefits.
The Japanese word ' Reiki ' literally translates as - Universal Life Force Energy.
This system of healing was discovered and developed by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 20th Century.
It is a non-invasive complementary therapy that has been taught and used in the UK since the late 1900's.
Eastern medicine has for thousands of years worked with energy recognising it's flow through all living things.
Reiki supports us in many ways and is complementary to modern medicine but can be used as a therapy in it's own right.
This gentle energy is easily used to help the body's own healing abilities, bringing benefits for all kinds of health issues and to facilitate a feeling of calm and well-being.
This is also potentially helpful if there are ongoing medical health treatments with side effects which may be mitigated by the Reiki treatment.
** It is not intended as a replacement for modern medicine and diagnosis from medical practitioners is always recommended.
Belief or faith of any kind is not needed as the energy works for all people and animals.
Recent developments in Quantum physics have opened up the possibility that there is a link at some level and this may be better understood in future times.
How is it given?
Martin has been working with Reiki for over 20 years.
Reiki is given by either the practitioner placing the hands on the body of the patient, in well defined and accepted Reiki hand positions.
Alternatively, the energy can also be transmitted with the hands just off the body, so that there is no actual contact made.
The treatment is given with the client fully clothed sitting in a chair of lying on a couch.
Reiki can also be sent by way of the well known process of distant healing.
What is Reiki?
Reiki can be considered as a part of Energy medicine, stimulating our own natural healing processes.
As defined by the Oxford English Dictionary, Reiki is:
"A technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore the physical and emotional wellbeing."
The Japanese word "Reiki" literally translates to "Universal force energy". This system of healing was developed by Mikao Usui in the early twentieth century. In addition, eastern medicine has for thousands of years worked with energy, recognising its flow through all living things. Reiki supports and is complementary to modern medicine, but it can also be used in its own right. It is not intended as a replacement for modern medicing and a diagnosis from the medical profession is always recommended.
A specific belief or faith is not needed.
Scientific research with quantum physics has opened up the possibility that is it somehow liked to ??? which may be understood in the future.
